If you are sober, have a valid license, and are old enough to drive without an adult, they may let you drive the car home if your friend okays it. Then again, they may not. They may call you a cab, or you may just be on your own. Depends on the officers involved, really.
If you are drunk, they will likely bring you in with them, and have you call someone to come and get you. If you’re really inebriated and get mouthy, they may arrest you for drunk and disorderly or drunk in public.
If you’re drunk and underage, you will likely be arrested…though in rare cases they may just call your parents. Not likely, but it happens.
